to know
this much
and growing up
when I am touched
it feels and rushes down
down to my ankles
rises up again and
someone made it
such a tricky game
so I am not focused on winning
I am not a
will you tell me
(when it's over)
if the ache is gone forever
I will run and I will never
stop.
Thanks Shaela for the comment you left me. I read your poem last week when you first posted it, I couldn't decide to say anything because to me this poem shows so much pain and i guess i feel awkward saying any one line that stands out to me. Though I will say that I notice all of your poems have a really clever ending that gets the feeling through. I like how in this one you said "I will run and I will never/ stop." I think it's very effective how you moved the word "stop" to a separate line (that really places emphasis).
